West Coast Swingers seeking America's online vote in World Showcase!

Markus Smith & Deonna Ball are two of the most talented, popular and photogenic couples on the National Swing Dance Circuit.  Their style has the rich flavor of an eclectic culinary feast prepared by noted restaurateur, Wolfgang Puck - a healthy portion of West Coast Swing sautéed in Hand Dance styling and seasoned with a little bit of Funk.  Add their radiant smiles and you have a fitting dessert.

Always a Top 5 finisher, and often Champions, this exciting couple really knows how to light up a dance floor.  Their choreography is unique, their footwork is fabulous and their energy is captivating.  They are one of those "special" dance couples who have natural charisma.  Audiences everywhere love Markus and Deonna. 

On July 1st, Markus and Deonna entered the 2006 USA World Showcase Competition held at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas and the judges gave them First Place in the category of Partner Dance.  They became one of a group of over 120 entertainers that include singers, actors, models, and comedians who have all been competing for the World Showcase Title in a national internet vote that began Monday, August 28th, and ran through Sunday, September 3rd.   Markus and Deonna were the top online vote-getters in this preliminary round.  The Final Round of voting ends Midnight Saturday, September 9th, PST.  They are currently ranked in 9th place and need our help to close strong.

As we did for Benji & Heidi on "So You Think You Can Dance" and Jordan & Tatiana on "Star Search", the USA Swing Net is launching a National "Get out the Vote" campaign in support of Markus & Deonna.  Over the years they've earned the respect of the Swing Dance Community and have entertained tens of thousands of people with their mesmerizing style of dancing.  They're also two of the most likeable people you will ever meet.  They deserve our help. They need our votes!
