are proud to bring you the biggest single TOP CASH PRIZE Swing Dance
Competition in America. To put things in perspective, the US Open Swing
Dance Championships has a top prize of $3,000. The 2008 "Dave
Patrone
Swing Dance Extravaganza" will have a top prize of $5,000!
The Weekly Qualifying Rounds
Starting Sunday, January 6th, registered couples have been competing in
weekly qualifying rounds in order to advance to the "Big Blowout Weekend"
of Semi-finals and Finals on March 29th and 30th. Only the TOP TWO couples
from each of these 10 qualifying rounds will move on to the semi-finals.
The Semi-Final Rounds
Of these TOP TWENTY couples who make it into the
semi-final round which will be held on
Saturday, March 29th,
only EIGHT couples will be chosen to move on to the FINAL ROUND which will
be held on
Sunday, March 30th.
The Grand Finale Round
At this "GRAND FINALE" competition, they will then
battle it out for one of 3 huge cash prizes.
1st prize: $5,000
2nd prize: $3,000
3rd prize: $2,000
4th Prize: Surprise Gift

Musical Entertainment
Saturday March 29th will feature the Semi-finals with Jonathan Stout's
Orchestra and Sunday March 30th will be Finals with George Gee & the Make
Believe Orchestra.
Rules
You may dance West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, or any other
form of Swing you wish. Each couple will dance to three different
music tempos to demonstrate their range of ability. You will dance 60-90
seconds to each tempo. One finalist couple will be chosen by the
Judges and the other by the Audience.
Registered couples may compete as many weeks as they need until they
qualify for the Semi-final round. Once you qualify, you need not
show up again until the Semi-final round on SATURDAY March 29th.
However, all couples who want to compete for the 3 cash prizes MUST show
up early to re-register for both, Semi-final and Final rounds.
Registration is from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM on each contest day. You must be
at least 21 years of age to enter.
Competition Format
Each weekly contest will take place during the live band breaks. Music
will be played by our Professional Swing Deejays.

got some of the best Swing bands (locally and nationally) coming to Viejas
to play for this special competition series. Here are the bands that

Absolutely NOTHING!!! The entire program -
dance competitions, live bands, prize moneys, giveaways - is FREE!.
Courtesy Prizes
Dancers, even if you
don't think you'll make it to the Semi-final round, please come and
participate in the weekly contests. Everyone who comes will be eligible to
participate in the raffle where we give away Gift Certificates to any of
the 7 dining areas at Viejas. Bring your friends and enroll them in the
free swing dance lesson at 4 PM.
